My primary school records 1974 - 1979 at Boon Beng Chinese vernacular primary school, which was 4km from our outskirts home at Tasek ( 1279, Jalan Tasek, Simpang Ampat, Seberang Perai Selatan).
The gred-5 national examination in 1978 later enabled me and other 5 students to enter Jit Sin High School in Bukit Mertajam; it was a surprise as the rest of the classmates were automatically shifted to  Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Simpang Ampat which was the nearest secondary national school.
My parent was a typical small farmer who own a small orchard, rearing chicken, pigs, farming vegetables, rambutans, cocoa beans, coconuts, durians, and tapping rubber in order to feed a small family of 5.
Due to the poor financial situation since my childhood, I nearly missed the opportunity to proceed to  the secondary school education.

小时乡下园地里养鸡，养猪，种菜，种果树，割橡胶生活的天真，顽皮及傻劲，蒙蒙懂懂的渡过了小学生涯。
小学六年级时家境很不好，姐姐已在日新国民型中学读书，弟弟也在同样的小学读书，父亲差点儿没能力给我继续中学教育；幸好挨得过。
